Graffiti is a counter-loan of the word write. Man's impulse to spontaneously express his anger, desire or thoughts has its roots in the depth of time. Ancient graffiti refers to his habit of writing and engraved on surfaces of his immediate environment, sometimes irregularly and illegally. Very often, archaeological remains and informal texts written roughly, on vases and walls, come to us. They are private and personal comments and sometimes an important or even unique source of knowledge about the daily life of the people of the ancient world. In other words, it is the voice of anonymous people that has survived upon the official history.

The short documentary film "Ancient graffiti… Is there such a thing?" presents ancient and historical engravings and graphs that were found during the excavations of the Ancient Agora and Kerameikos and is addressed to students, teachers, and the general public to present in a comprehensible and pleasant way their history and their significance as historical testimonies. graffiti as historical testimony and as damage to ancient monuments" by the Operational Programme "Human Resources Development, Education and Lifelong Learning" NSRF 2014- 2020.
