The Ephorate of Antiquities of the City of Athens (hereinafter referred to as E.F.A.P.A.) within
the framework of its responsibilities maintains various digital nodes. This website, through
technologically advanced internet infrastructures and open and closed source software
applications, can offer to everyone (hereinafter referred to as visitor/user) free information,
participation, information, as well as technological applications related to the Ministry under the
following terms of use. The use/visit, Navigating, archiving/cataloging them and staying on this
website presupposes and constitutes practical and unconditional acceptance of the following
terms of use. The use/visit of this website, its electronic pages, and services by the visitor/user
presuppose the prior use of the website careful reading and the unconditional agreement and

Any provision of the above terms is found to be contrary to the above institutional framework or becomes invalid, automatically ceases to apply and is removed from the present, without in any way affecting the validity of the other terms. Decision No. MINISTRY OF CULTURE / DGDAPK / DMEEP / Γ2 / Φ51-52-54 / 81397 / 2199
/ 12-9-2005 – ( Β '1491) "Determination of fees a) photography – filming – videography. ", as
amended and in force, which sets out the licensing procedures, the amount of the fee and the
manner of its collection and any other necessary relevant detail.
This JMD provides for the
licensing procedure for the use of images of archaeological content for commercial or
advertising purposes in electronic titles on the Internet or Intranet, in electronic publications (e-
books) and in the production of audiovisual works and electronic guides.
The Greek State
(Ministry of Culture) is the exclusive beneficiary of the rights to the content of these images.
Furthermore, Law 4305/2014 (Government Gazette 237/A/31-10-2014) provides for a special
exemption for cultural heritage from re-use for commercial or advertising purposes for the
"protection of cultural heritage from theft, looting, vandalism, excavation, looting, and generally
avoiding exposure to danger of movable and immovable monuments and sites protected under
Law 3028/2002".
4. Disclaimers and Limitations of Internet Liability
