Something is going on at the Gymnasium of Kerameikos
Five friends, two girls, a misunderstanding!
Following a group of teenagers and two young women who lived in the ancient neighborhood of Kerameikos, we experience a fantastic story inspired by the authentic, ancient and "literary" graffiti of the area and combine historical and literary sources with a lot of imagination!
During the program, students shed light on aspects of the human geography of ancient Kerameikos. At the same time, they observe, record, and answer questions about the deterioration and protection of monuments and learn about the demanding task of removing graffiti from monuments, activating their critical thinking and imagination, team spirit, and respect for cultural heritage.
The project file includes a variety of activities and worksheets for activities in the archaeological site and the class, a timeline, links to the school curriculum, preparation materials, bibliography and useful links.
The aim of the program is for students to understand the dual role of graffiti as historical testimony and as decay.
